Roman Road and Quo Vadis, Soho present Abstraction & Daydreaming, a group exhibition across our three unique rooms, curated by Marisa Bellani (Founder and Creative Director of Roman Road). Attempting to offer alternative definitions of the established term ‘abstraction’, the exhibition features a diverse trio of the most exciting international emerging artists. Tom White’s portraits meld figuration and abstraction by focusing on cropped moments of implied intimacy, as Ellen Antico’s canvases of crowded cherubic faces introduce blurred boundaries imbued with momentum and movement. Meanwhile, Hannah Knox’s trompe l’oeil focus on found fabric patterns abstracts familiar fashion away from their associated personal attachments.
Abstraction & Daydreaming runs until Monday 25th of July and is accompanied by an eclectic live event programme that activates the Quo Vadis space.
